A few years back our good friend @overboard Bala gave us two Bird’s Woolen Mill blankets. They have a deep red base with a large single black stripe on each end. These blankets are such a cherished gift as she knows our love of vintage camp blankets and even more so for these as they were made in Muskoka in early 1900’s. The Bird’s Woolen Mill was located in Bracebridge on the south side of the falls and produced blankets, yarn, tweeds and ‘Mackinaw’ cloth.
We designed these blankets as a tribute to those early blankets and the importance businesses like this played in the evolution of our beloved Muskoka community.
Made for us in Canada, this 100% wool blanket is the perfect accent for end of bed or draped on a chair or sofa. It's destined to become a treasured family heirloom.
